We went to see Strasbourg for a day in the fall of 2007. I saw this scene and thought I should paint it. A town of beautiful bridges and French/German architecture. They also know how to do it up for Christmas. Unfortunately we were a few days too early for the Christmas markets. Maybe next time (and maybe next time it won't rain all day). This is for hubby who spent a year there at university. Can't believe I haven't done a watercolour of the town yet.
